Caring for the Elderly and Disabled in your home
This course is designed to help family members and friends know the basics of caring for
those who cannot care for themselves.
The course is 3 days a week, 4 hours a day to help you learn skills necessary to keep you and
your loved one safe.
The first day we will focus on illness/disease, what to expect,the interventions and
safety measures that can be used to best help you both.
The second day will be learning CPR and First Aid so you will be better prepared if an
emergency occurs.
The third day will be a home visit to and incorporate and perform hands-on what you
have learned.
You will learn the effects illness and disease have on the body both physically and mentally.
